Posted by Tricia in The other day I had a new client of mine ask me this question. And I had to seriously sit down and think about it. Why would you want to publish a electronic newsletter verses a Newsletter you can actually hold in your hand? Then I started thinking ok if this client wants to know this then there are probably others out there that want to know the exact same thing.
With an Ezine you will send it out on a periodical basis to anyone that has subscribed to your Ezine. The nice thing about that is you the choice to either sending it out automated or you can send it out manually.
Being a publisher of an ezine, you will very easily achieve all the great benefits of a hard-copy newsletter with out taking out half the rainforest doing it. You will be spreading not only what is going on in your business,but also be able to share your expertise with all your subscribers from the mind of an average everyday person.
So basically you will not have to purchase everything that goes along with publishing a newsletter. No buying a building, no hiring staff members, and no printing supplies. So you will be saving yourself money, time and effort.
Really there are only a couple things you even need to create an ezine. You will need an auto-responder, which should include a broadcasting feature. This will make it possible for you to reach large amounts of subscribers, and you will in-turn be pulling them into your site and bringing you more traffic.
You are also not going to be shelling out the expense of mailing all those newsletters out, printing the labels and getting your subscribers to give you their mail addresses.
Well now that I have put my two cents in you can see why I believe and ezine is so much better then a hard-copy newsletter. With the direction the Online and Offline businesses are going, in the near future everything will become more automated and paperless.
