Have you had a good laugh working from home lately?  April 1-7th is National Laugh at Work Week.  Although this is the first time I have heard of this, I really had to think about it.  Have I had a good laugh working from home?  Have I been too serious being a business owner?

Working from home can be a very stressful situation.  There are times when I feel like I can never get away from work.  When I think is this craziness every going to end?  I take my business very serious.  And here lately I have wondered if I take it too serious.  I don’t laugh anymore will I am working.  I am too busy stressing if I am going to make deadlines, worrying about if I am going to have clients next month, making sure my business is running the way I want to.

But I need to enjoy my business and working from home.  I need to take time to laugh have fun and think about how wonderful it is to one, be working from home, own my own business and three I have clients.  Those are three great things thta come with owning my own business.

So this week I am going to lighten up, enjoy my job, business, and work.  I am going to laugh more, smile more and stress less.

I officially opened my doors for business on January 1st, 2008.  Although I did have one client before that.  Who I must stay is still with me today.  I was so scared when I launched my business.  I was nervous and worried that I would not get any customers.  I was afraid that I would not get the word of mouth out there about myself and I would just be sitting on the computer all day hoping, wishing, and praying for customers.  But that is not what happened.

The one client I had told another person about my business, and that person told another person about my business and what a good job I did and pretty soon I was full of clients.  I have a nice handful of retainer clients that I love to death.  My clients keep me busy and I have to say that for once in my life I truly love what I do and who I work for (because I am the boss).

6 months.  That is half a year that my business has been going strong and I continue to grow.  I have some projects I am personally working on to grow my business in 2008.  I work with two wonderful coaches.  Aurelia from Real Life Coaching is my Life Coach and Cara from The Household Helper is my organization coach.  They keep me on my toes and keep me pointed in the right directions.  Thank you both so much.  You have helped me grow personal and in my business.

SO here is to another 6 months of wonderful business.

We have sold our house and are moving to a new home. SO that means that I will have to move my home office. Have you ever thought of what you need to do if you have to move your home office?

Here are some questions I will leave you to think about until next week when I answer them?

1.Are you able to pack up your home office weeks before the move?
2.Do you take time off work to move?
3.What company’s do I need to Call?
4.Are you going to have the same amount of space in your new home office?
5.What Can I pack before hand?
6.What Do I have to have left out until last minute?

So what are your thoughts on it?

When being a Full Time VA I did not realize just how hard it was going to be to Balance my work and family.  I still find myself struggling to balance the two out.

There are days when I am just not sure I have balanced things out properly.  Take tonight for instance.  It is 10 oclock and I am thinking what work do I have that would not take very long but I could get done before I go to bed.

I know I need to be going to bed and doing my work in the morning but if I could just do one more thing that would be great.  NO. I have to stop.  I have to make more time for the family.  I need something to help me balance the two. 

Then I found it Real Life Guidance had just what I was looking for. “Balancing Work and Family.”  You mean to tell me all this time this had been sitting right under my nose and I have not used it before.  Finally I can feel the stress of trying to balance the two lifting.
